Ordering Process
Can you send me a mock-up before I place my order?
All orders are sent for approval via email. However, we do not send designs for approval before an order is submitted. When you place your order, that transfers your photos/text to our graphics team. Your payment also secures their time.
Once we have your order designs are typically sent for approval within 24 hours.
Do you accept Purchase Orders?
We understand that many schools, booster programs, and organizations require purchase orders for accounting purposes. Although our website can’t process purchase orders, please call us at 410-885-4760 so we can discuss options and help you place your order.
I need to order for a team/large group. What is the easiest way to place a bulk order?
We make bulk customization easy.
- Choose your item, customization options, and design theme.
- Click “Customize Multiple Items” to open the bulk form.
- In the Shared Details section, upload anything that applies to all designs, such as the school or team name, year, and logo.
- In the Individual Details section, enter the information for one player, like their photo(s), name, number, and position.
- Click “Add Another Design” to create a new Individual Details section for the next player.
- Repeat until all players are added, then add everything to your cart at once.
I am unable to view my artwork/design. Please help!
Design proofs are sent for approval by email, so please check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see one from us.

What is the status of my order?
Custom orders go through several steps: design, approval, production, and shipping.

It’s normal for your order to show “In Production” for about a week, since most items take 7–10 days to make after design approval.
We are tax exempt. How can I submit our form?
Sales tax is only charged for orders shipped within Maryland.
If you are a tax-exempt school or organization in Maryland, please email your exemption form to custserv@makeaball.com along with your order number, and we will refund any tax collected.
Can I speed up production time?
We already produce all items as fast as possible. As a result, we're unable to rush any items.
We do offer faster shipping options at checkout which can help get your order to you faster.

Do you price match?
We do. If you purchase from our site and see a larger discount available within 48 hours,contact us and we'll refund the difference.
Delivery
How long until I get my order?
Most items take 7–10 business days to produce after you approve your custom design. Shipping time is additional and varies based on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.
Can I change my order?
Once your order has entered the production phase changes can not be made. If you need to make a change to your item please call us immediately so we can try to get the change entered as quickly as possible. We can be reached at 410-885-4760.
Can you ship outside the continental United States?
Yes, we can ship to Alaska and Hawaii as well as internationally. If you don't see your country listed please contact us and we'll add it to our list.
What countries do you ship to?
Make-A-Ball currently ships to the locations listed below. If your country isn't listed, please contact us and we can try to add your country.

Cancellations & Returns
What is your return policy?
Due to the custom nature of our products, items are only refundable if an error was made during the production process. If you've made a spelling error or an error similar in nature, please contact us and we will work with you to help correct this issue.
What is your cancellation policy?
Orders can be cancelled up until designs are marked as approved by the customer. Once a design is marked approved and enters production the items become non-fundable due to the custom nature of our products.
Non-custom items can be returned for a refund.
Ball Designing
What size and type of files do I need to upload for my photos to print clearly?
We recommend images that are 150 DPI or higher, but 72 DPI is acceptable. Photos taken with a modern cell phone typically work well.
Please note that if an image is blurry or out of focus, it will appear that way on the final product.
Can I change the color of the stitching of my baseball or softball?
At this time, we currently only allow red stitching for our baseballs and softballs.
Can I use more than one picture on the ball?
Yes. Since each ball is custom designed, you can include as many photos as you’d like. Please note that the more photos you add, the smaller each photo may need to be in the final design.
For the best results, upload clear, high-quality photos without watermarks. Photos taken on a phone typically work great. Low-resolution or small images may appear blurry when printed.
What is Custom Image Technology (CIT)?
Custom Image Technology is a technology that is exclusive to makeaball.com. It is a process that allows us to place images on any of our sports balls with the exact replication and clarity of the original photograph. This process produces items of high quality and photos that will not fade, crack, warp or peel over time.
Ball attributes
How do the images appear on the ball?
Images and text are finished with a shiny clear coat, so those panels will feel smooth to the touch and may not feel like the standard material of a typical sports ball.
The glossy finish only applies to panels that include images or text. All non-custom areas of the ball will feel like a standard ball.
Gold, Silver, and Color Rush items do not have this glossy coating and will feel more like a regular ball.
Can the sports balls be used for play?
Our sports balls are real and can be used for play, but we recommend using them as a collector’s item to help preserve the quality of the product and photos. Regular play can cause the graphics to wear, crack, or tear over time.
Please note: the high-gloss synthetic leather finish may also feel more slippery than a standard game ball.
Will all pictures be accepted?
Any picture that is considered lewd or offensive will not be accepted and makeaball.com has the right to refuse production of this product.
Can I save my images?
Images are securely stored only after an order is completed. Any images uploaded without a completed purchase are not saved.
Will my online orders be secure?
Yes, all of your online orders will be 100% secure. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
Materials
What materials are used to make your products?
Item construction varies by product and customization options. Material information can be found on the Details tab of each product page.
Can I use copyrighted or trademarked materials?
We cannot print copyrighted or trademarked logos or slogans without the express written consent of the proper licensing entity. Please see our Disclaimers and Terms & Agreements section for more information on this.
