How to Order Senior Night Footballs for a Flag Football Team
Ordering custom senior night footballs for a flag football team follows the same process as ordering for any other football program, with a few flag-football-specific considerations in the design and copy stage. Here is the full guide.
Start 4 Weeks Before Senior Night
Four weeks gives you enough time to collect all photos and player details, place the order, review proofs for every player, handle revisions, and have balls in hand a week before the ceremony. Flag football programs that are running their first senior night often underestimate how much coordination goes into the gift order. Start early.
What to Collect from Players and Families
Send a digital collection form with the following fields:
- Player name as it should appear on the ball
- Jersey number
- Position -- use flag football-specific position titles: Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Running Back, Center/Snapper, Rusher, Cornerback, Safety, Linebacker. Naming the correct position makes the ball sport-specific.
- Graduation year
- High-resolution photo (minimum 1MB, in flag football uniform)
- Career stats to include (optional but recommended)
- Family inscription (optional)
Flag Football-Specific Design Considerations
The primary difference between a flag football senior night ball and a tackle football senior night ball is the copy and the photo. Use flag football-specific position titles rather than generic football titles. A "rusher" in flag football is a specific role that does not exist in tackle football. Using the correct position language makes the ball feel designed for flag football specifically, not adapted from a tackle football template.
Photos in flag football uniform work best. A player in their school's flag football jersey, number visible, in a game action context is the design that makes the ball specifically theirs in this specific sport.
Placing the Order
For orders of 15 or more balls, contact us before placing for coordinator support. We deliver all proofs together for efficient review and manage revision tracking across the full order. For smaller orders, place through the standard product page and note in the comments that this is a flag football team order -- our design team will incorporate flag-football-appropriate design language.
Reviewing Proofs
Review all proofs against your collection form in one pass. Check each player's name, number, and position title specifically. Flag football position names are less standardized than tackle football positions, so confirm that each player's position is labeled the way you want it before approving.
The Coach Gift
Order the coach gift ball simultaneously with the player balls. For founding coaches of new flag football programs, consider an inscription that acknowledges the historic nature of what they built. The team photo, the season record, all senior player names, and an inscription from the first senior class is a coach gift this coach will keep for the rest of their career.
