Logo Lacrosse Balls for Recruiting Showcases and Club Events
A recruiting showcase is a marketplace. Families pay significant money to be there, college coaches walk the sidelines, and three other showcases are running the same weekend within a two-hour drive. Whatever makes yours memorable is worth doing.
A branded ball is a small line item that does more work than most of the budget.
What the keepsake actually does
- It marks the event for the player. Showcases blur together. A dated ball on a shelf does not.
- It reaches the parents, who are the ones deciding which showcase to pay for next year.
- It travels home into a bedroom in another state, where teammates see it.
- It differentiates your event at registration, when a family is comparing two similar options.
Designing it
A custom logo lacrosse ball gives you a print area about 1 3/8” across, the size of a half dollar.
That is the whole design. The year matters because players who attend three years running end up with three balls, and a set is worth more than three individual items. Process-color matching keeps event colors accurate.
Where clubs use them beyond showcases
- Tryout and evaluation days, handed to every player who attends.
- Club welcome packs for newly rostered players, which sets the tone for the season.
- Alumni and commitment recognition, marking a player's college commitment with the club's mark and the school.
- Coach and staff gifts at the end of a club season.
- Youth clinics, where the ball goes home and gets used in a backyard all summer.
Quantity planning
Registered players plus 10 percent for late additions, plus coaches, officials, and staff. For a multi-day showcase, count each session rather than assuming a single distribution point.
Order for expected registration rather than confirmed. Late registrations always arrive in the final week, and a short order at check-in is what families remember.
Funding
Build the cost into the registration fee. At a showcase price point, the per-player cost of a branded ball is a rounding error, and it converts directly into a perceived value increase at the point of registration.
Alternatively, sell it as a sponsorship. Equipment retailers and local businesses that want reach with recruiting families are a natural fit.
Custom versus bulk
For a single identical design across twelve or more pieces with no individual names, the Team Shop channel is the volume route and is what most events use. Individually named balls for standout performers or commitments go through the custom route, where there is no minimum order.
Lead time
Production runs 7 to 10 business days from proof approval, with three weeks ahead as the standard recommendation. Showcase season runs from late spring into summer, which sits in one of the two densest windows on our calendar, so a March or April order is meaningfully easier than a June one.
